Professor Denis Agostini
Professor Denis Agostini, MD, PhD, is Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department at the University Hospital of Caen-Normandy, France. He previously served as Vice-Dean of the University Hospital (1999–2014) and educational manager of Cardiology at the ESMIT/EANM committee. Since 2024, he has served as President of the CHU Caen Normandy Foundation and Vice-Dean for International Partnerships at the Health University.
A recognized expert in Nuclear Cardiology, particularly SPECT-CZT and PET/CT, Prof. Agostini's department installed the first whole-CZT-CT 360° VERITON system in 2017. His team has pioneered dynamic cardiac CZT imaging, dual innervation-perfusion imaging, and AI-based cardiac applications, and participated as the second European centre in the AURORA trial evaluating 18F-FlurPiridaz PET. He has authored more than 162 peer-reviewed publications in cardiology and nuclear cardiology.
Dr Medhat M. Osman
Dr. Osman is a Tenured Professor and the Medical Director of the Division of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT at Saint Louis University, Saint Louis, MO, USA. He is board certified in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) and in Cardiac CT (CBCCT). Dr. Osman obtained both PhD and Master of Science degrees from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. His Nuclear Medicine residency, Oncology fellowship and PET/CT fellowship were also at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, USA. Dr. Osman’s research interests include PET CT, oncology, neurology, and cardiology. He has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, six textbook chapters, and more than 280 abstracts. Dr. Osman is past president of the Missouri Valley Chapter of the SNMMI and currently an ABNM Board director.
Dr Ahmad Qureshy (Pak)
Dr. Ahmad Qureshy is a senior Nuclear Medicine Physician with over three decades of experience. A graduate of King Edward Medical College (1988), he earned his Master’s in Nuclear Medicine from the Centre of Nuclear Studies (1992) and completed his Ph.D. from Tohoku University, Japan. He served the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) for 32 years, playing a pivotal role in introducing PET-CT technology in Pakistan, including the installation of the first public sector PET-CT scanner and cyclotron. He has contributed to similar projects nationwide in both public and private sectors. Dr. Qureshy is actively involved in academic training through PIEAS and CPSP. He currently serves as Consultant Nuclear Medicine at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Lahore.

Dr Nabile Safdar
Nabile Safdar, MD, MPH is a practicing radiologist and physician executive whose work focuses on how artificial intelligence can be responsibly designed, deployed, and governed in healthcare and higher education. He serves as Chief AI Officer for Emory Healthcare and Emory University, where he is responsible for establishing enterprise AI strategy, guiding deployment across clinical and operational workflows, and advising senior leadership on governance, risk management, and value realization. Dr Arzoo Fatima Saleem (Pak)
Dr. Arzoo Fatima Saleem is a Nuclear Medicine Physician serving as the Director of INMOL Hospital, Lahore - one of the leading Cancer care and Nuclear Medicine centers under the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. As a practicing Nuclear Physician, she has played a key role in advancing diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine, with special focus on hybrid imaging and theranostics. She is deeply committed to clinical excellence, protocol development, and integrating evidence-based Nuclear Medicine practice into comprehensive cancer care. Dr. Arzoo is also an author of several books and academic publications in her field, contributing to medical education and knowledge dissemination for students, residents, and colleagues across Pakistan. Dr Aakif Ullah Khan, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Pak)
Dr. Aakif Ullah Khan (TI) is a luminary in the nuclear medicine community, widely acclaimed both in Pakistan and across the globe. His mentorship has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of nuclear physicians, medical physicists, and technologists, inspiring countless students to forge distinguished careers in the specialty and its allied fields. His exceptional contributions to clinical care, pioneering research, and institutional administration have earned him the Chairman PAEC Distinguished Services Award (2016), the PAEC Excellence Award (2023), and the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (2025). As a true pioneer of theranostics in the country, he has championed transformative procedures, including metastatic bone pain palliation, radiation synovectomy, mIBG therapy, and Lu-177-based treatments for neuroendocrine tumors and prostate carcinoma. Currently, he continues to lead and serve as a Consultant Nuclear Physician and Director at the Institute of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine (IRNUM), Peshawar.
Dr Mohammad Irfanullah Khan (Pak)
Dr. Mohammad Irfanullah Khan is a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology with over three decades of clinical experience. He holds the FEBNM from the European Association of Nuclear Medicine, FCPS in Nuclear Medicine, and an MSc in Nuclear Medicine from Quaid-i-Azam University.
He has served at leading tertiary-care institutions in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, including King Fahad Specialist Hospital, Dammam. He currently practices at Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad, where he has played a key role in establishing PET/CT services.
His areas of expertise include hybrid molecular imaging, nuclear cardiology, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and radionuclide therapies, including peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT), 177Lu-PSMA RLT, Y-90 microsphere therapy, and 131-MIBG therapy.
He is actively involved in teaching, mentoring, multidisciplinary patient care, research, and the development of nuclear medicine and theranostics services.
Dr Humayun Bashir (UK)
Dr. Humayun Bashir is a Nuclear Medicine Physician with over 25 years of clinical experience in Pakistan, the UK, and Saudi Arabia. He is a Fellow of the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan, Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, and the European Board of Nuclear Medicine, a past Diplomate of the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He currently serves as Consultant in Nuclear Medicine at East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, UK, and honorary faculty at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Lahore. A Past President of the Pakistan Society of Nuclear Medicine (2015–2017), he is also a Board Member of AOFNMB, UK delegate to EBNM-UEMS, and serves on editorial boards of international journals and committees of BNMS and ACNM. Dr Muhammad Numair Younis (Pak)
Dr Muhammad Numair Younis, is DCMO and consultant at Nuclear Medicine INMOL, Lahore. He is Co-founder of Younis-Bashir Award under American College of Nuclear Medicine. He is recognized supervisor by College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan – CPSP for post graduate training of FCPS Nuclear Medicine, part of visiting faculty of PIEAS between 2001 and 2007 and Visiting faculty of University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore from 2004 till date. He is member of curriculum committee of UHS for Allied Health Sciences 2006 and member of board of studies of UHS since 2021. He is pioneer in Clinical Applications of ‘Theranostics Nuclear Medicine’ in Pakistan and Ambassador of Pakistan at European Society of Hybrid Imaging.
Dr Aamna Hassan, (Pak)
Dr. Aamna Hassan works at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Lahore. A graduate of the Aga Khan University, she did Nuclear Medicine residency from Loyola university, USA. Prior to relocating to Pakistan in 2012, she was on staff as assistant professor Radiology at Loyola University, Hines and Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Currently she holds privileges at the Hines VA USA. Dr. Aamna is a certified Clinical Densitometrist (ISCD). She has published extensively in high impact peer reviewed journals, is board member and section editor of Imaging corner - JPMA and serves as reviewer for several journal. Under her supervision Lu177 therapy were initiated at SKM in Jan 2023. She is the designated primary contact person for SNMMI designated RadioPharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence at SKM. Aside from theranaustics she also has a keen interest in TARE with Y90, thyroid disease, bone densitometry and PET-CT scanning.
Dr Saima Muzahir (USA)
Dr. Saima Muzahir, MD, FCPS, FRCPE, is Associate Professor of Radiology and Enterprise Theranostics Lead in the Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta. She is also Associate Program Director of Emory’s Molecular Imaging and Therapy Fellowship and Vice President of the Pakistan Society of Nuclear Medicine (PSNM). A graduate of Nishtar Medical College, she completed her Nuclear Medicine residency at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, a second residency at the University of Iowa, and a PET-CT fellowship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Muzahir serves on the boards of SNMMI and ABNM, and leads the RAD-AID Pakistan program. Her research focuses on radioligand therapy and oncologic PET-CT imaging.
Dr Athar Haroon (Qatar)
Athar is a dual-trained Radiologist specializing in Clinical Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He completed his MRCS and subsequently taught Clinical Anatomy at the University of Leicester. He then completed his Clinical Radiology fellowship in Edinburgh & Leicester and obtained his FRCR. He did his Nuclear Medicine fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust & University College London Hospital, UK. He is passionate about research with a special interest in hybrid imaging (PET-CT and PET-MR), the use of biomarkers for different diseases and multiparametric PET imaging. He completed his PhD in the Molecular Imaging of Cancer from the University College London Hospitals NHS Trust, UK. He has previously worked at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London as a Consultant Radiologist. His research collaborations extend across the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia. He is now working as a Senior Consultant Radiologist at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Dr. Akhtar Ahmed (Pak)
Dr. Akhtar Ahmed a Nuclear Physician has over 38 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine. He earned his Master’s degree from University of London in 1987. He is Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, European Board of Nuclear Medicine and Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh. He is currently Head of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT at Ziauddin University Hospital Karachi. He has served as Director NIMRA, Jamshoro and KIRAN, Karachi. Dr Nosheen Fatima (Pak)
Professor Nuclear Medicine, currently Head Nuclear Medicine & Theranostics Department and the Program Director of Nuclear Medicine at DUHS. Also a visiting consultant at AKU and pro bono publico Nuclear Cardiology services at KIHD since 2016. With more than 100 national and international publications, and recently a grant recipient of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Supporting Women in Science' fellowship.
Dr Syed Mansoor Naqvi (Pak)
Dr Syed Mansoor Naqvi is an accomplished Medical Physicist with over 23 years of experience in medical physics, radiation protection, and research, and more than 27 years in teaching. He serves as Assistant Professor and Medical Physicist at the Department of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, Aga Khan University. He has authored nearly 50 research articles and contributed several book chapters published in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Naqvi has supervised numerous MSc and MPhil theses and contributed extensively to work on radiation safety and LASER protection. He chairs the Radiation Protection and Laser Safety Committees at Aga Khan University and is President of the Pakistan Organization of Medical Physics (POMP). He is also on the Advisory Board for Physics at NED University and a member of AAPM, PPS, and SCMPCR.
Dr Salman Habib (Pak)
Dr. Salman Habib is serving as Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Head of Nuclear Medicine-Allied Services at KIRAN Hospital, Karachi, since 2011. He established the Theranostic Laboratory Services at KIRAN and brings over 20 years of expertise in nuclear medicine. Alongside his clinical leadership, he is part of the teaching faculty at Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi, and also works as a visiting consultant nuclear physician at Tabba Heart and Kidney Institute. Dr. Habib has contributed significantly to research with 20 publications in national and international journals and has served as an Executive Council Member of PSNM in 2018.
Dr Sharjeel Usmani (Oman)
Dr. Sharjeel Usmani is a consultant nuclear medicine physician at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Center, Muscat, Oman. He played a key role in establishing Oman’s first theranostic facility in 2023, offering 177Lu-DOTATATE and 177Lu-PSMA therapies. Previously, he pioneered 177Lu-PSMA (2014), 225Ac-PSMA (2017), and 177Lu-DOTATATE (2019) therapies in Kuwait. A Fellow of the European Board of Nuclear Medicine, Asian Nuclear Medicine Board, and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, he has authored five books and over 150 peer-reviewed papers. He serves on editorial boards and is a review editor for Frontiers in Medicine. His main research interests include non-oncological indications of 18F-NaF PET/CT and 68Ga-PSMA imaging in prostate cancer.
Dr Hajira Ilyas (Pak)
Dr. Hajira Ilyas holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and dual accreditation in Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Radiology. She trained and worked as a Consultant at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading centres for imaging and therapy. She earned a Master’s degree in Nuclear Medicine with distinction from King’s College London and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK). Since November 2022, she has been a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, and Honorary Consultant at University Hospitals Sussex, NHS. She has established the Radioactive Iodine service at SKMCH, Peshawar. Her areas of interest are theragnostics, PET/CT, and oncologic imaging.
Dr Saima Haider (Pak)
Dr. Saima Haider is a senior nuclear medicine consultant with over 20 years of experience and currently serves as Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department at CENUM, Lahore. She earned her doctorate in Nuclear Medicine from Romania (2009), MS from PIEAS (2001), and fellowship in the Asian Board of Nuclear Medicine, along with CCD certification from ISCD, USA. She completed an IAEA fellowship in mammography and has vast expertise in breast imaging. Actively engaged in teaching and research, she has published widely, supervised academic projects, and served on PJNM’s editorial team. Dr Sana Munir Gill, (Pak)
Dr. Sana Munir Gill is a Consultant Nuclear Medicine physician at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (SKMCH & RC), Lahore, Pakistan. Dr Waqas Rafique (KSA)
With a PhD. in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry and over 15 years of experience, Dr. Waqas specialized in the development and production of radiopharmaceuticals for pre-clinical & clinical applications. He began his career as a Radiochemist at SKMCH&RC in 2009, where he worked on production and QC of ¹â¸F-FDG and Tc-99m radiopharmaceuticals for regular use. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oslo, with research focus on the synthesis of novel drug molecules and their in vivo evaluation using PET imaging. Dr. Sajid Mushtaq (Pak)
Dr. Sajid Mushtaq holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University, an MS in Medical Physics from PIEAS, and a Ph.D. in Radiochemistry from the University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea. He began his career as a medical physicist in leading cancer hospitals across Pakistan before joining PIEAS, where he currently serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Chemistry Department. His research focuses on radiochemistry, radiopharmacy, and the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging (PET/SPECT) and targeted radionuclide therapy. He specializes in radiolabeling, synthesis, and preclinical evaluation of biomolecular and nanoparticle-based agents. Dr. Sajid is also actively engaged in teaching organic chemistry at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr Nadeem Ahmed Lodhi (Pak)
Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Lodhi is Principal Scientist at Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science & Technology (PINSTECH). He did his PhD from Seoul National University, Republic of Korean in 2019 in the field of Nuclear Medicine (Radiopharmaceutical). His research focus on the design and synthesis of novel peptides and small molecules (inhibitors) for radiolabeling with Technetium-99 and Lutetium-177 for targeting prostate and tumor microenvironment (FAP). He is also Chief investigator and Co-Chief Investigator in IAEA Coordinating Research Project (CRP) on development of Lu-177 and Tc-99m based radiopharmaceuticals respectively. Muhammad Alzaid Alrabiah (KSA)
Mr. Mohammed Alrabiah holds a Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences. He brings 18 years of clinical experience in Molecular Imaging.
